I would go with the carli starter system, or one of the lorenz kits.

I don't tow a gooseneck (yet) but if your looking for a decent priced 3" lift I have a Skyjacker and have over 20,000 on it with no complaints. The lift was $800 and included leaves in the rear (about 2" of lift) and 3" taller springs in the front. also includes front lower control arms, bump stops and shocks. I added the dual steering stabilizer for around $150 and then paid about $350 labor to install it ( i don't have a place to do it where my truck will fit) The ride didn't change much but if your worried about it i'd upgrade the shocks to Bilstiens or something similiar because the Skyjackers aint nothin special. I like the fact that the truck sits more level than stock but when you add a load it doesn't look squatted like fully leveled trucks do. Just my opinion.

depending on what your budget is...

Under $1000...Tuff 4.5 inch lift with Bilsteen 5100's (PM me for the best source) is hard to beat.

Under $2500...Tuff 4.5 inch lift (throw away the coil spacers), Thuren' King Shocks, Coils, and spring pack is REALLY hard to beat.

With that budget you're pretty much limited to a level kit. Quick and easy but still high quality is a kit from Sean Lorenz at Lorenz Industries

The bags are almost done. We're in the final testing stages now. We actually jumped on the Baja 250 course with them and they're holding up awesome.

Yep, but $1000 isn't much to work with. Steel prices keep going up and custom springs are quickly approaching $500 now (mine were only $350 less than a year ago). I guess you could buy some Bilsteins from Lorenz and order a set of springs from Don and get the job done. That should be about $700 with shipping.

I think 400 lbs is right about stock rate. I'd drop that down to about 360 maybe? I think mine are about 330. I don't have a big bumper but I have no trouble with 12,ooo lbs in tow.

Ive only got $90 for the spacers, $75 for the rear blocks and u bolts, and $60 in front shocks (dont go that way Im ordering 5100 soon). So you can do it for way cheaper than $1000, not the best way but you can.

400 would probably be splitting the difference.....not knowing how much you have hanging off the front.

I'm running a 360 but that might be a tad soft for you. I'd say 400 would be about right......

Don't pay any attention to Pauly.....Don valved his shocks for his cushy 330lb coils.....

Cushy is right! Hey, at least I knew my springs would be too soft!

By the way, spoke with Don this afternoon, and his new radius arms sound like they're going to be pretty sweet. I think I'll start saving my pennies now.....
