Is a leveling kit the solution for rubbing?

Question Is a leveling kit the solution for rubbing?

I finally decided to go with the BFG 315's on the stock wheels. Now, I have some minor rubbing in locked turns (both directions) on the control arms. Will leveling the front make the rubbing go away?

If it's on the control arms, I don't think that leveling it out will help back there. If they were hitting the bumper, I could see it. But the tires are still going to be traveling the same distance back towards the arms.

Hello von Diesel, with the leveling kit on there you can run 35's with no problem even in full lock as long as you stay with the factory wheel, because with aftermarket wheels you can only run 33's unless you actually lift it. Mike

With the H2 takeoffs, I don't rub with 315/70/17 tires.

I don't think a leveling kit will solve it because you only gain more clearance upwards not width. Your best bet would probably to go get new wheels and change the offset of them.

That was my thinking as well. But since you have stock wheels, I'm kinda lost. I ran my 35's on my stock rims with the coil spacer and had no issues. I know of lots of guys running 315's without any problems.

I was running 315 at's and 35 12.50 baja claws. Both would rub on the control arm. They didn't rub a lot so it was a no issue for me. How often do you drive with the wheel at full lock anyways.
