I have a 05 2500 cummings HO can anyone tell me if upgrading just the intake if I would get anything out of it, local exhaust dealer here said I can't get anymore out of the exhaust except for noise since it was a 4" straight back from the turbo. I am just looking minor upgrades, dont want to chip it. Thanks.

Here we go again with the K&N Wars. To answer the question you asked about, yes you should see some minor improvement by just adding more air to the equation. The 4" pipe is all you need to flow air through the system, I don't why your exhaust man talks like that would be restrictive. Add cheap set of injectors in there with this breather and you would have all the power you'll ever need.

 

I run the K&N FIPK and like it alot. I filters REAL GOOD!!! I have the oil analyses' to prove it. I do run the prefilter/filter condom on it also!! Let the bashing begin!!

 

Go pick up a copy of "Diesel Power" magazine before they pull it to put the new one out on Tuesday. Open it to the article where they put a 5" Magnaflow turbo back exhaust on a stock '05. Then take the article and go show your local exhaust dealer how wrong they are.
