The thing about the silencer ring is, is that its so simple, it's easy to loose your patience. I wrestled with it for about 10 minutes one time and gave up because I didn't want to jab my impeller or anything. Then, a week later, I tried and ip poped out in about 30 seconds. You just have to be CAREFUL. I bet that one makes a one-of-a-kind whine dosn't it?

$10+ s/h and you get this... very simple to do, no chisseling away at the stock baffle tube so it can be easily put back in...

ok i am allso new to this stuff two. so when i did my baffle tube today. i allso saw those two white looking plastic pieces closest to the turbo. my old truck was a 305-555 six speed and it did not have those white pieces . but my new truck a 2004.5 325-600 48RE cummins had them. so i took them out.so guys was that a bad move on my part.i mean would i have been better to leave them there.but i guess it is to late now. by doing this and a swiss cheese airbox, you won't get the same amount of flow that you will with an aftermarket airbox, you still have the restriction of the stock filter.
Mopar72, I want to say somewhere around 8.5" Just order Quantity = 1 (12") so that will be plenty, thats all I ordered. then cut it with band saw or chop saw to get it to fit |

There is no performance gain, just more turbo whistle. You might lower your egt's a bit but i'm not for sure as I do not have gauges.
