I have in stalled isspro egt gauge and i dont think it is reading correct at idle it reads 290 and the most i could get it to read is rite at 900 and that was getting in it hard also have a smarty jr set at sw2 tm4 tq2 any help would be very much appreciatd..Thanks

 

Call Isspro. I have had some problems in the past and their customer service is incredible!

 

Where did you mount the probe?

 

Mine idles at 290 and only goes over 1100 when towing my 5th wheel (hitting it hard or going up steep grades). Empty getting on it hard, it would be tough to get mine over 900-1000.

Yours sounds normal to me if you aren't towing.

Try going up a steep hill and hit it hard at lower RPMs and it might go over 1000. Higher RPMs tend to keep the EGTs down.

 

I put the probe on the manifold. it takes it a little bit for the gauge to clime to 900 i mean a i can got through 3 gears before it hit 900.
