installing FASS
Bought a FASS off of a buddy of mine, and was wondering how hard it would be to install. Not sure if i have all the parts. Any help or tricks would be greatly appretiated. Thanks Judd

Not hard at all.
You just need a drill to mount to the frame. Also hand tools, teflon tape etc. Let us know if you have more specific questions. |
Be very careful with the teflon tape and not wrap it over the end of the threads. Leave 2-3 threads (starting end) bare. Shreads of teflon tape have been the ruin of many a motor, pump, and has even caused airplane to crash. I use only teflon paste now.
Just a warning, to the wise. ;) |
Here is the link to DPP.
http://www.dieselpp.com/ Click on INSTALLATION and it will give you a choise of PDF documents to open. Choose the one for your truck and you will have the instruction in color. |
has anyone had trouble with dealers because of have the FASS or should i now consider myself my own warranty station?
|
Probably your own warrenty. If you know the dealer well, and the service dept, talk to them about it. It's worth a try............
