I didn't use a scale to check the power level itself with my field strength meter. I used a shunted scale that just rises when the strongest signal hits so the meter deflect upward in the direction of the strongest transmitting signal. I rarely care about the other numbers because at 100' the other scales are all but overwhelmed. I use a Bird wattmeter/dummy load to measure the output.

There's a guy on the 'cummins diesel forum' who made a mount that mounts on the towing mirrors. I believe he sells them too. I dont remember what his user name was but I'm sure you can search and find it.
As far as duals, I've always heard you need about 8' between them to get a good tune, other wise they mess with each other. If that's true I dont thing duals would work too good on a pick up truck.
