I borrowed my buddy's 20” x10” Helo Maxx 8 Wheels/w 35" MT's, check it out!!
Thanks for the Pics BigDan your truck has a very nice stance.
what are the specs on your wheels? what offset/backspacing
I may have over reacted when I said 18's suck for towing, I just don't want to deal with bump steer and a big lazy steering wheel while I tow, it gets old fast when that happens.
one thing about these wheels that bugs me is the lug nut's get down sized big time, the stock nut has a 15/16" head witch makes for a ton of material on the side walls of the nut. but when you down size the lug nut to 3/4" head it makes the side wall on the 3/4" nut very very thin
that's why I want to find helo's web site to see what the wheels weight capacity is.
I am not buying any wheels right now I was just screwing around with those wheels and tires.

About the lug nuts...........I see your point and understand it in a whole engineering aspect but I have never, ever seen a post, thread, or personally heard of someone complaining about their small or thin nuts. Think about it, if it was a major problem then it would be a wide spread epidemic in the truck market.
"Oh no, nobody should buy aftermarket rims, because they use a thinner lug nuts." I dont think so. If its things like this that keep you awake at night
then you need to leave your truck 100% stock and not change aything and leave the thinking up to DC engineers.
I dont think your decreasing any load capicity since they still use the same wheel studs and many lug nuts like I use are a barral style that utilize the whole lug nut tube in the wheel with special lugnuts that have grooves cut into the nut and special matching socket
My wheels are Eagle Alloy 114 in 18X9.5 with a 6" offset I believe....Their just your basic Eagle 114's off ebay and tire shops.
Back the topic at hand. I love the looks of that tire/rim combo. I got lucky and found a used set from a guy at church but they where only 17s and I dont realy care for them. But for $500 for rims and tires they are better than the stock steel wheel I had. Now I need to save up for 20s and keep the 17s for winter tires.

Believe me I'm not loosing sleep over thin lug nuts or any of this.
Top rite corner of his name block says Lehi Utah. I agree 150% on the scenic part. I was having a hard time actualy seeing the truck. I LOVE the mountains. Some day i will convinse the wife to leave the flat corn feild known as Iowa. We spend every ounc of vacation time in mountain states so I figure why not just move to one but she dont see it that way. Now with a baby on the way i dought we will ever get out of the corn feild.
Lehi, Utah and those mountains are out my front door
it's called Mt. Timpanogos...
....thats right along the line of how I want mine to look...just got to save up the funds for the lift, and I wish I had cab lights. Very nice truck
