I Am Having Grief!!

I was hooking up a BD Cool Down Timer today and I had my covers off my steering column to get at at the wiring harness I needed to tap into etc. I pulled the wiring harness off the column for the one I needed but before I did that I unhooked the wiring harness off the little box above where the key goes which I believe is the sentry system because I thought that was the one I needed. Anyways I plugged it back in, did my wiring for the timer and thought I was all done. Opened the shop doors, jumped in to back it out and pushed the clutch in, turned the key and nothing happened. Dash lights light up like normal but I turn the key and not a thing happens. I used my Smarty to see if there were any codes and sure enough a code that had something to do with my skim key was there.

Anyways, I got the truck to the dealership now and they went through it a little bit today when they got time and they found that a couple fuses were blown and they replaced them and the truck now cranks over, but won't start. They tried a new skim module in the truck and tried programming my keys and still nothing. They couldn't figure it out and now I'm a little worried as to what is wrong. The cool down timer isn't even hooked up right now that its at the dealer so it shouldn't be a concern. What could possibly be wrong with it? Has anyone had this problem?

If you used a tap you may have cut the wire.

You grounded a hot wire it sounds like. Meaning, a hot wire you were working with hit metal & grounded the circut. Check ALL the fuses & wiring & fusable links-if there are any. Your prob. not getting fuel ie. fuse blown. HTH!

The BD kit came with Posi lock taps and they do work well no doubt. I may have grounded out a circuit who knows while doing the work but I thought that I made sure I didn't in the process. As far as a cut wire goes there isn't one I checked that also. The posi lock taps don't cut wires like some of the other brutal taps can. I am really baffled right now. My problem lies within the sentry system as far as I know. I need more insight into how the system works on these trucks.

Could it be possible that since the truck is only cranking and not starting that it is not a sentry problem. They sentry is supposed to allow the truck to start but will kill it after 4 or 5 seconds if thats a problem. Could it be that maybe my ECM needs a reflash or something? Almost sounds like a no fuel problem, truck only has 19,500kms on it.
