I just wanted to give you guys who have been asking about the Max Energy Programmer from Hypertech a little more info. I looked all over for info about it, and mostly how they can claim that it is safe to use there programmers at the highest setting, which is an additional 113hp for the auto's, and 176 for the manual, and not excede factory exhasut temperatures towing upt to max manufactures weight rating. I could not believe this because I have never seen it before with any other programmer, at least not that high of a hp.
So after looking all over I found this article on a test of Edge, Superchips, and Hypertech products on the big three trucks. It is pretty long and in depth, but is has some good info, and there was a magazine in on the test so I do believe it was non-bias info.

Long story short the reason they can use their programmer on the highest setting is that they have a machine like a dyno that can put resistance on the truck to simulate max weight, and climbing a 5% grade. Then they add the tunning and monitor egt's until it can run at wide open throttle for 10 min, without exceeding 1350 degrees.

Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted anyone out there looking at these or any programmer to know all they could. Also, I am in no way trying to sell these over any other programmer or chip, so don't bash the Hypertech, or say how the smarty is the best or whatever, because I am not putting down anything, so for the guys looking for these hope this helps.
