HURST T-handle

To those of you running the HUrst T-handle shifter,
How much height did you loose compared to the factory nasty plastic ball looking ****?

Does it leave any exposed threads?

Hard to say. Will have to use the metric adapters that comes with the handle and the lock nut. The lock nut may hide the threads.

Well, I went to AutoZone and picked one UP! They said if it din;t fit right I could return.

So, It made my decision easy. I put it on and no threads are exposed.

The downfall is it is leaned so far FORWARD & Down. It would be so much better comfort wise if it finger grooves were parallel to the ground instead of pointing forward and down. I am going to keep it on until tomorrow night. It does seem to make shifting positive because of a larger surface area than the little stock junk piece, BUT it is far from PERFECT!

Is there different part #'s for different angles? I have seen a couple of pics on here but they were 2nd gen trucks but they looked more square when installed!

Oh, it's bigger. The Hurst ball is 2.25" in diameter and it's available in black or white. The ball is for late model Z28/TA's with the 6spd. Same shift pattern as the NV5600. I had our machine shop make a threaded adapter because the Z28 has a 16mm x 1.5mm threaded shaft vs. the 10mm x 1.5mm for the NV5600.
