HTT Sledpuller 66/14 install report
well i must say that i have had more pleasurable times in my life. install was kind of a pain the the a&&. i was contemplating taking the stock manifold off to do it but i did'nt. ooops. to anybody doing this install just take the manifold off and do it all on a bench. save your self some time and skin. the problem was the back studs(block side) that you have to some how put nuts on and then torque to 35 psi. yeah right. w/the manifold on the truck you can barely get the nuts started on the studs. a real, real, tight fit. any way after the stud bolt fight everything was pretty plug and play. reuse stock oil fitting off turbo. oil return line(that you install on new turbo off truck) fit perfect. by the way this return line is held into the block by two o-rings. just pull and they come out. push real hard to get them in though. clocking was perfect for intercooler pipe boot. fit was perfect. one problem on downpipe to be aware of. stock downpipe for my year is 4''. the cast 4" elbow, turbo side flange has 2 little alignment pins that need to be ground off because the trubo has no receiver holes for them. just file them down smooth. other than that it lined right up. HTT supplies everything you need and a awesome turbo. I have'nt really got into it yet but this thing feels SO much better than the stock junk. spool is a little (i mean little) slower than stock. once this thing gets broken in and loosens up a bit i'll write some more!
