Finally got a chance to install the SLEDPULLER 66 !!
First off, Thanks go out to Jstieger that wrote the thread on tips for installing any of the HTT line of turbos, That helped a bunch
Now then, the install when smooth - Though it would have been nice to have someone help, But it was getting sick of waiting (on a side not, THAT BOOGER (SP66) is heavy!!! and I'm only about 150lbs soakin wet)
Having the tire and wheel well liner out was SOOOOO nice, made the 15mm bolts alot easier to get off...
Now on to the results:
I'll be frank, When I first pulled out and gave a little fuel (after warmed up), I was very unhappy, it was super laggy, and the EGT was stupid high, and the smoke was really heavy, just as heavy as the with the stocker... I was thinking "why, oh why? did I want this thing" --- So I get home and put on the full exhaust (i was running with just the downpipe to go to sears and get a special socket to install the 4th bolt to hold the turbo on.. Yes, I ran with only 3 bolts holding that 38 lbs on the engine (in hind-sight, not the startest thing to do, BUT how else do you get there?) - I think that might be why the first run was terrible, I guess it leaking exh gas out and not spinning the turbo...
After the exhaust was back on, with muffler (thank the lord) - Things went a little different. The spool up was still slow, but only a little worst than stock... WIERD though, the truck felt "peppy" and no smoke till 12psi, Gotta love the singles program , This turbo needs the TWINS program BAD!! - But after 12psi, it would absolutely rip, BUT the EGTs would still hit 1400 on a run up to 100 mph, I'm like ***? I though my EGT problem would be almost gone... Well anyway I guess I under estimate the fueling capability of the TST, because this truck was at 105mph, and at redline WAY faster than with the stock turbo... THe dyno will tell it all
BTW - level 5/4 feels about like 6/5 did with the stocker, AND the egts leveled at about 1350* --- We will see after a few weeks if it loosens up
Some pics for your enjoyment:

Ohh yeah
Two more things:
1) Cutting on a $300 intake is very sucky (to make room for the intercooler piping, But you gotta do whatcha gotta do
2) the stock rubber intake hose from the turbo to the AFE is VERY,VERY,VERY tight fit between the compressor outlet and the shield on the exh manifold... Looks like a torque tube is in my future
One last thing, At 38psi on the stocker, I would NEVER pull the filter minder down, BUT with this SP66 at the SAME psi, the sucker is WAY down, like its telling me I need a new filter pretty darn soon, Food for thought

A 300 degree drop in EGTs isn't that bad, but with a turbo that big I would have expected maybe a little more as well.
Have you really poured the fuel to it yet? Since it takes a little more power to drive my twins, they actually cool better the more I turn the fuel up and put my foot in it. You may find the Sledpuller is about the same when you get to where you can really drive it hard. That is a pretty big turbo and no doubt will take some decent energy to make it earn its keep.

I've got my Sledpuller set to 45psi, it seems to hit the "sweet spot" of it's cooling abilities around 40-50psi.
As far as downloaders go, as long as you don't hear a bunch of timing rattling before the turbo spools, it's fine. After it spools, you've got nothing to worry about except speeding tickets. Tomey- Be sure you get the Crazy Larry program(230hp), it's a world better than the old 130hp setting...
