HTT or II

Will someone Please tell me the better of the two turbos, HTT or Industrial Injection? Which one would you purchase? I'm leaning towards a Super Phat Shaft 62. Also should I get an 12cm or 14cm exhaust housing?

I BOUGHT HTT AND THE REASON WAS I WAS TOLD THAT THEY USE THE SAME PHAT SHAFT BUT HAVE A BETTER BEARING SYSTEM FOR LONGER LIFE. AND THEY ALSO SAID THERE WERE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME OTHER THAN THAT BESIDES PAYING FOR A NAME. THE ONLY THING I WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENT WAS INSTEAD OF BUYING DIRRECT FROM THEM GO TO ONE OF THERE SUPPLIERS ITS CHEAPER THAT WAY. I BELIEVE I PAID THEM 2300 FOR THE PRO STREET 66 AND I THINK I SEEN IT ON ANOTHER WEBSITE FOR 1900 SOMETHING.

FYI, you cannot get a SPS in a 12cm. SPS= Super Phat Shaft and Supers only come with a 71mm exhaust wheel that is physically too large to fit in a 12 cm housing.

A PS 62,64,66 is available with 12 or 14 because the Phat Shafts only come with a 65mm exhaust wheel.

If you go with HTT, you can get either a 14cm cast exhaust housing or a 13cm stainless steel housing on their 62,62,66mm turbos with 71mm exhaust wheel.

FYI the Stainless housings are more expensive, but have larger wastegates thus are better top turbos for twins applications if the future desire should ever arise.

An II or HTT (62mm compressor/ 71 mm exhaust turbine/ 14 cm cast housing) perform identically as far as anyone can tell.

I have no complaints about my HTT. I think that if you go with II then you spend that extra money on the name, for a product very similar in quality.

What do you wish to accomplish with the new turbo? I got the HTT 62/12 which fits my application perfectly; towing with good street manners. Would have probably purchased the SS but was not available at the time of my purchase. Good thing about HTT they can upgrade your purchase for a lot less than a new one if you wish to go that route later.

I'm very happy with my HTT 62/14 stainless 71 Series turbo. Very little lag, and spools like crazy. Their customer service has been superb, which is hard to find these days, even after the sale. I'm sure the II turbo is great as well.

i love my II silver bullet would not trade it for another but like most say the two companys are both great companys and a turbo is a turbo kind of hard to reinvent the wheel.

I agree with this. I bought my Silver new and I saved $250 compared to the equivalent HTT and $600 compared to the guy above with the "golden" Prostreet.
