Guys how much boost should my truck with the stock turbo make? Its an 03 auto. I have taken the retaing/silencing ring out, tightened the waste gate actuator rod two turns and have the boost fooler from quadzilla and still only show 23 psi on my attitude monitor.

 

Put some manual gauge's on it. Best investment you will make.

 

You will need an adjustable boost elbow for the turbo to adjust the boost up. They are on e-bay. I found 30 psi worked pretty good on the stock 03 turbo.

 

whats the difference between the stock elbow and this 'adjustable elbow'? is it the i.d.(inside diameter)? if so do you know what the id is?

 

With it being "ADJUSTABLE" the adjustment screw makes the I.D. hole smaller.

 

What lvl you running your edge box? Check the cooler boots for rot and small holes mine was starting spit fibers loose. I just finished a trannie service with band adjust and she shifts much nicer and on lvl 4 she hits 35 psi and on stock setting it hits around 24 . Still running stock trans and crossing fingers. 100k+ on stock trans and no extra parts in the pan today

 

I just switched to mechanical autometer phantom gauges. With my mods, is it possible to hit almost 40psi? I did that yesterday in 3rd and 4th gear. My commander never showed over 32 to 33. I have it tapped into my cfm horn. Also, the needle on the boost gauge shakes and vibrates when it gets over 25psi. Is this normal?
