How good are my ET's?
I went playing at the local test and tune today. With TST on 5/2 I ran a best of 9.56@74.87MPH. This is just an 1/8 mile track. A few weeks ago I went out with TST on 4/4 and 80 psi of air in tires ran 10.30@74MPH. So turning box down and lettting tires down helped. Thought I was running out of fuel before but not sure the MPH is roughly the same. Maybe spinning so hard before was running me out of fuel. My combo is in my signature let me know if my ET today is comparable to others running this combo.
Well I don't really know how to gauge the differences with these heavy diesels. But I would think that will get you around 14.8-14.9s 1/4 times. That ain't bad. What was your 60' times? That is what will tell you what you really left at the line. Before I had my tc/trans upgrades I ran in 2wd and never was able to hook up well with enough boost to really launch. It was either lug off the line or smoke 315s until I let off. My 60' times were in the toilet. Once I had a fully built trans and 3 disc TC I dropped my 60' times by .5 second.

I was around 2.2-2.3 60' times with 5-6psi 2wd launches. Now 20+ 4wd launches are 1.85-1.90 60'. Of course it cost me dearly for the custom triple disc tc and all billet shaft trans build.
If you can launch with closer to 10-12psi and still hook up you would drop your 60' times considerably. Of course higher the launch boost, the harder on the tc/trans. But you do have tc/trans upgrades. I assume the 90 gallon aux tank is empty.
I am guessing your race weight is still close 8000lbs. A TC lockup switch would probably help also. I lock my TC as soon as trans shifts into 2nd gear.

If I build more boost the truck spins. The fastest pass I left and had to pat the throttle to control spinning. I would lower tires some more but 50 down to 40 showed no improvement. The tank was empty.
Well 2wd diesel has a harder time hooking up at launch than a 4wd. The 2wd diesel racers I see usually have some type of racing slicks/tires and traction bars. Not really practical for a daily driver though. Maybe fill that aux tank up and see if you can hook up better.
Not really out to drag race truck with any serious intent. Just wanted to know how it was performing compared to other trucks. I have a drag car but it's broke right now so I've been playing with truck a little more than normal.
