Question How big is a Garrett GT45 Turbo?

I have found what might be a good deal on this turbo, but I am trying to figure out how big this unit is, say in reference to a silver bullet or a aurora 5000

Thanks

Kevin

GT45 has an 81mm compressor wheel@ inducer and almost a 90mm turbine wheel.
Its a step up from an Aurora 5000.
It would be good for a bottom turbo in a multi setup.

Not so good though for a single turbo setup? If a person could get this for under 500 bucks it would be a good deal?

Do you think that it would work good in conjunction with my silver 62 in a compound setup?

Too big for a DD single...would be a good sledpulling single though.

I have a GT45R...dual BB...It has a 81.6mm wheel, and an 87mm turbine wheel in a 1.01A/R housing. It should spool better than a B2 and move more air...but I'm also going to run an external wastegate on it as well.

It should do good with your 62 too...but I wouldn't go with the tight turbine housings unless you want to wastegate it...stick with the 1.24 ( I think that's the biggest one!)

The older 45's only had a 68mm inducer so be aware of what you are buying.

That is not a Garrett GT45,it's the chinese knock off,and the last 1 we seen, was a 66mm and not anywhere near a garrett unit,so good luck if you buy.

For one, a Garrett GT45 is no where NEAR a T66 spec like they say, so it's probably a knock off!

Garrett doesn't have a flat place for a tag in the compressor cover they cast their name and that's 1 of their copyrights, and also a gt45 compressor wheel has the nut cast into the wheel and not a separate nut,and that's called a boreless wheel .

GT45's are all ball bearing and the biggest one will be an 80mm. They are physically really close in size to a GT42 and much smaller than a GT47
