I think so. It depends. Do you leave it on 3 now, or do you leave it on 4? What I'm saying is... would you turn it up?

I don't take mine out of 3. I've taken it tto 4 and 5 just a couple of times no hot unlock for me, mines just a tow pig.

 

I've had the hot unlock for 5 years. I keep it on hot all the time. The unit suddenly started making high EGTs (engine melting) on 6. This is the second unit with this problem. It works fine from 1-5.

 

i leave in 3 now i have a new tranny and arp head studs upgraded head gasket new fuel system from the lift pump to the 100 horse injecters so i mean the truck can handle it just wanted to make **** sure before i spent the money

 

Definitely worth it. Very big difference in performance. Twins, II injector pump, FASS, BD intercooler, 50hp injectors, studs, 6-speed.
