hooked up Quad xzt connector backwards, now what?
while re-installing my xzt i mistakenly hooked up the 3 wire connector backwards, needless to say the truck would not start. now after hooking it up properly the truck runs but i now have an engine light. could i have damaged anything, and how can i turn off the light? btw, the xzt now lights up correctly after hooking it up properly and gives a green blink as its fourth blink.
thanks, ill wait for it to go out. could i have damaged the sensor or the xzt? basically the two outer wires were crossed so if one was voltage and one was ground or signal im wondering if anything could have been damaged?
I not only hooked a connector backwards, I then started it without putting in the correct truck or chip and threw 3 or 4 codes. I unhooked the batteries and got rid of CEL and all but one code which I still have. Don't think you hurt anything but a little pride.
