Homemade 6" Air intake, AKA the "whistler", tech write-up
When I get time off from working on my darned truck!!!
I will be doing this wonderful mod!!! With the help of Mark of course... From the video clip I would say that they are pretty close. For some reason my afe is not very loud with the new turbo?? Maybe they both whine so much it cancels one out??? But it's all good...

Sounds good to me!! I'll take some pic's of the new set up tomorrow because we had to remove the afe shield it wouldn't fit with the new piping and everything..
OOOh I can hardly keep my eyes open!!
Mark I wish I had this turbo in when I was up there... You'd flip!!!

Well I have a few teaser pics of the whistler stage II set-up...
now keep in mind this is just my prototype version and I have not made any of the lines smooth or clean....I also used some really thin aluminium because I wasted to other good pieces, so the next one you guys see will be A WAY CLEANED UP VERSION OF WHAT IS SHOWN.
let me know what you think

here is a shot of the filter way down in the fender well... nice and cold down here

90* short radius elbow Not the standard radius

I am sorry if any of you guys already ordered...
I just thought about it tonight
Agreed. You could still polish or powdercoat the aluminum tubes. I used 4" on mine and may polish the tubing and switch over to silicone bends just for giggles. I'm never satisfied. Just gotta keep tweaking and coon-fingering to perfection (or failure).
