Holley Blue advice
Holley Blue advice
Prepping to install a Holley Blue pusher on the truck - I have the pump, and an install kit coming from Scotty, and have done reading here on the process. Going to install inline with the OEM pump, with a bypass. Two questions remain:
1 - Do I need to install the FPR that comes with the pump? Found a couple posts that mention doing this, but most don't. Since the Blue is only capable of 14 psi, I'm leaning towards skipping the FPR.
2 - If I frame mount the pump under the OEM lift pump, do I need to install a relay in the wiring? Once again, seen some that did, some that didn't. Pros/cons?
Thanks for the help

Pushing through the stock pump is how mine has been setup for for over a year. It's quiet, pumps a lot of fuel, and seems to be quite durable.
1) Don't use the regulator. Run the line from the tank to the blue to the stock LP. Using a "hard tube adapter" to adapt the stock steel line to rubber or SS braid works well. The stock system will return all the unused fuel.
2). Definitely use a relay to power the pump. Running both off the factory circuit will overload it. Use the powered line to the factory LP to "trigger" the Blue pump's relay. This way both pumps will run at the same time.
