Hit the track last night, It also hit me back!

Well I finally got the htt turbo put on last friday and figured I would see what kind of difference it made so i went to the track last night. I ran only a couple of times and still feel like there might be a little left in it but I ran a 13.98 @ 98 mph....Kinda disappointed

So I start playing with the smarty settings to reach my goal of a 13.6-7 and decided to turn the shift limiter on. The first time i tried it it brought my 60 ft time down from a 2.0 to 1.8 but the egts got hot extremely quick so i had to coast the rest of the way. I go back make a few more adjustments, so i stage and start building boost, went to 20 psi eased into it a little more hit 25 psi, by this time the truck starts lifting up a little and the yellow lights start so I get up to around 35 psi then BOOM! Talk about a sick feeling Not exactly sure what i was thinking but i definately wont be messing with the shift limiter again.

DAVE GOEREND! Can't say enough about him and his customer service, I called him and told him what had happened and he has already sent me a new intermediate shaft and told me to bring the truck where ever i want to get the new shaft installed, said he will take care of everything. Anyone thinking of a built auto I would recommend him to anyone. Customer service goes a LONG way, very impressed.

Dave's the man! He called me at 11pm to make sure my install was going good, we were thrashing to get the truck on the road ASAP.

That's awesome that he is paying for the intermediate shaft and installation! My only question is why is he paying for it? I would only assume that a 35psi boosted launch with 35" tires is going to break things. Was there something else wrong that he did? Just curious.

No nothing was wrong with it..He is just backing up his warranty very well. The shaft I broke was not stock, it was a 4140 and im the second truck to break one. He said they have been tested to 50 psi boosted launches so maybe I just had bad luck I don't know. I know I wont be doing that again.

Anyone know how to get the gear indicator light to come back on in the dash?

Dang you messed that up to? Try programming it back to stock and see what happens.. I don't think the shaft being broke wo uld of caused your gear indicator to go off

Yea....I can't say thats the smartest thing I have done Lesson learned. I'm sure I would have had a nice 60 ft if it held together. The first time i did it i forgot i had turned the shift limiter off and when I was building boost it hit 40 psi and i let off quick and took off at about 25.

CTD... When Dave and crew did mine, they also had an issue with the gear indicator, it is the bracket on the drivers side, there is a switch there. Check the wire and using a gentle touch bump it back and forth checking each time you do. Bet that cures it. There is a switch for this, screws into the drivers side... Oil behind it so be ready.

Agree on Dave and crew. It just does not get better than the service they provide

How come you went down to sw5? Need get get a open track so we can really do some testing.. Smarty cranked wide open by itself. Then on sw5 with tst on different lvls and then sw7 with tst... See which is the fastest
