While on the topic of stacks, did anyone ever find drop in mufflers for 6 and 7 inch stacks?

Actually GR makes 2 different styles and the one that works(not the one that looks like an auger shaft), to hear them tell it is like $450.00 if I remember right but I gave them the measurement (I dont remember what that was (5? fifty something inches I think)) from the bottom of the 90* to the start of the mitre cut at the top level with the cab and I think it was something like 10" too long to fit in mine.

So unless you have really tall, straight, stacks Im not sure youll get what you want outta that. I was sure sad when I found out as I thought that was the cure to the moderate drone I get when I tow heavy. I would certainly get the length of it and see if you might be able to shorten it but I think I remember seeing fiberglass in it like a regular muffler.

I'm thinking of makin a stainless one similar to the "straight thru" style of muffler. But becouse of the type of cost involved with a custom length,one-off, drop in, I dont think a guy could ever make them cheap enough to make people happy. Unless its free my wife is never happy

WOW $450, and I gonna want two. I guess Ill be going with an exhaust cut out, with one side strait piped and the other with a muffler. So are there any non electric cut outs out there. Ive found a few that are electric but they were something like $350 or so?
