Yeah I know you play you pay When I bought it used it had moderate TQ management installed man I thought I could chirp the tires inbetween shifts just hammering the throtlle.Got scarred and put the TQ to the one that it ships with (mild) Tried 5 but I don't have enough control of my right foot.I'll have to wait for my tranny before I go higher.Did your stock turbo run alright on setting 9?

Timing for sure.. I can't honestly tell you the difference but i've always been told to run the timing with my set up?? I have meant to talk to Bob about that but every time I call I'm thinking something else and forget! You could run #9 and not affect your engine it's your right foot that does the damagE!

Yes there is, It's in beta testing right now and is for towing and mileage. The smarty will have a program for any truck from stock to heavily modded. It sounds like you've already made up your mind to get a smarty-----this is just to let you know you won't be sorry. There are a lot of guys on here that have run just about every power adder available just do some reading and you'll find what's best for you. As far as programmers, I've run the bullydog, superchips, and smarty. Ever since I've been running the beta 4.4 software on the smarty, it is at the top of the list IMO.

wreed, no idea about accessory delay.
the updates are free and will remain that way. on the madselectronics webite, you will see many flavors of programs. stock injectors, aftermarket turbo, aftermartket inj, stock turbo, aftermarket everything, mild, moderate, wild torque management, soon-towing and mileage programs, etc.
There are many programs(each with 9 levels) to tailor the smarty to your trucks mods(stock too) and driving habits.
The smarty is ok on stock trans, max level is 3 for auto and 5 for stock clutch.
As with anything, you can cause damage to components, dont worry, you can do that completely stock too.
