Help with California 235 HP

First of all I would like thank all the members, as you have all been a great source of information. I have been reading threads on this site for about 3 years now, and I finally joined (yes I know, what took so long).
Like most I guess, I've been looking for ways to increase power, without sacrificing too much reliability. I currently have a slide in Camper (about 4000 lbs.) and tow a boat (about 3000 lbs.). I've kept the Edge EZ on level 2 because of concerns over fuel rail pressure. The added power has been great, but I'm looking for a little more. I'm considering either keeping the Edge and adding a BullyDog Downloader in tow mode, or remove the Edge and get the TST. Also, it has a 47re, getting TC and VB work done in a couple of weeks. So.....questions:
1. How do they "de-tune" the California motor? Do they lower rail pressure? In other words, is the EZ doing less damage on the 235 HP motor than say a 325/600?
2. How is the TST under 2000 RPM's? Do I need to stack with the EZ for low end power? I've heard the Juice which is timing/duration for most models uses pressure (2003 only) below 2200 for low end power. Why?

Thanks to all

An advantage of the SO motor is that it does not run as hot as an HO or a 600. Also, since you've started with a lower torque engine, you are able to take advantage of more power from after market power enhancements before you have to worry about other upgrades.

In Your case, I would consider injectors added with your EZ as the next step unless you really want a new box. Injectors can give extra power while lowering EGTs and increase fuel mileage.

The difference between the SO and the HO is programming with most of it being timing.

You would be most happy with an Edgue Juice w/ Attitude if you do not plan on upgrading your turbo and fuel supply. BDDL and the EZ will also work nice...but will not be quite as smooth and defuel as nicely as the Juice. If you sell your EZ...you can regain a portion of the new expense and end up with a balanced approach... a little pressure, more duration, and timing advance all in one unit. The TST will work great with your EZ as well...but you will have to use self control on a mostley stock truck.

Thanks for the replies,
New Injectors was probably my first choice because of reliability, but the most expensive option. I also liked the Juice, especially with the new "A2" Monitor. I spoke with Edge, and they said the juice for the 2003 increases the fuel pressure about the same as the EZ on level 3 up to about 2200 RPM's, then timing and duration only. I don't know, maybe I worry to much about the increased fuel pressure. I keep hearing stories of breaking fuel pumps and ruining injectors. Does the Edge increase pressure all the time, or just when needed?
