Like:
Head walk, block flex, extra stability offered by a larger bolt etc. etc. etc.

talk to doug at PDW, he spent along time working with ARP to get those high strength 12's made...and they are every bit as strong as the 14's. and for $1300 they cost about the same as buying 14's, then paying someone to machine the head and block to accept the larger studs, and you dont have to remove any material from the block which COULD potentially make it weaker

I dont need to talk to anyone.
The big power makers dont use 12mm's.

Sorry to break it to you but 800 hp with a single and nos is not big power.

Big power with our motors is 1400-1500hp @ 150lbs of boost on #2 Diesel and some water.

never thought it was the baddest out there. and as for spray...ill never use it, i dont care if i can add 300hp to my truck with the spray and have all kinds of bragging rights. if i ever use anything it will be water. but i'll also never make 1500hp or 800 for that matter.

Dont anything I say the wrong way.
The better 12's are great if you are wanting to stay away from going to 14's.
But most of the people needing the better 12's are on the bottle anyways.

I could be wrong, but I believe the 14mm's are also a fine thread going into the block also. Unlike the 12mm's coarse thread.
