Have Smarty 4.4, thinking TNT...worth the time to change? Want low smoke and....

Similar responsiveness of the 4.4. I love the 4.4 but the smoke level above 1/8th throttle is a little annoying in regular driving. I have found my favorite setting is SW5 with my MP8 up around 50% around town. I have to turn the MP8 down to zero to keep RP down below 20k while at highway cruise, but around town it's a lot of fun. SO, since I have the MP8, I can adjust my RP on the fly instead of trying different settings w/ the TNT, but what about the other options? Would the TNT be as responsive as the 4.4? Less smoke? I know it's just a matter of trying, but considering the time for the update, then testing it, then if I go back, doing it all over again....checking for comparisons here between the two first seemed the best first step. Thanks!

I know alot who have dynoed all the smarty programs on their trucks with the same mods and it seems to go like this, for power anyways. TNT/R, 4.2, TNT, 4.4, REVO. I understand 4.4 smokes more than TNT. I run TNT and love sw7 around town for daily driving and just added the mp-8 and I run it on 30% or so. Works good for me

TNT makes more power with less smoke. Very nice programming.

Yup! You have no idea what you are missing.

The 4.4 is a step back into the dark ages.

Chris,

If I were to switch over to run a smarty which one should I purchase for the best driveability, but I also want to be able to get the most HP out of it as well. I guess I am a little lost in all this Smarty talk.

If you have the supporting mods! I ran 4.4 for almost a year and loved it. Tried TnT for several months and I can tell it's good software, but i dont have sufficient supporting mods to utilize it....so i've gone to the standard revo and / or 4.4 depending upon mood / what i'm doing with the truck.

You have the aftermarket turbo, so that's step in the right direction...now the question is will you have the fuel to support TnT....give it a try, it's worth the time if it works well with your mods / truck....as it can be wicked fast and smooth at the same time.
