Guy saying S.C. killed his motor

Hello. There is a guy on the flashpaq forum (http://www.flashpaq.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=363) saying that the SC tuner killed his motor. He said it caused too much fuel, which washed away the Diesel in the upper cylinders, and burned up a piston. The only other place I herd this was in a thread by a mopar technichian who said this happend to a guy that had a crapload of idling hours on his truck. What ya' all think?

I think his condition is possible without a tuner or performance box of any kind.

Well for one thing, super chips does not fuel the truck only timing and duration. Maybe the guy had something else wrong with his truck.

It would have to be cause by idling to much. I don't even think a TST/Smarty/MP-8/Juice/Quadzilla stack could inject enough fuel to wash the cylinder walls down and ruin it that way. Now maybe get it to hot and melt the piston, but not wash the fuel off the walls during normal operations.

Read the thread. The injectors went bad and dumped too much fuel when they opened. Duration boxes can have the same effect as pressure boxes and cause injector failure.

The real question about failures is never answered; bad fuel, mechanical failure, electrial failure, etc, becuase the injectors go back and thats it.

The rings and cylinder walls wear extremely fast due to lack of lubrication from oil.
