I want to replace my black inserts with basic chrome ones. I can order the Mopar set for around $100 or an after market stainless steel for more. Are the OEM ones plastic? Which looks better removing the original and replace with factory chrome or bolt on aftermarket (goes over the black). Does adding an aftermarket bolt on restrict air flow? Thanks.

 

I put the Mopar ones in, they replace the black ones on My 05. They are simple to put in and yes they are plastic. Had them in since the truck was new and have not had a problem with them.

 

Same here, I put factory chrome in my 06, easy to do, looks good.

I haven't seen many aftermarket that I really like.

 

Anyone seen any pictures of a truck with the Putco Shadow Grille installed?

 

I know this isnt what you have in mind, but this is what I have on my 05 and it doesnt restrict the air flow at all.
