You I have seen a couple of core CP3's. They came off flood recovery trucks. They look great let me tell you. IF it is me I would wait for mine too.

Wow...read what you wrote...and then what I wrote. I want this...you want that. There are options for both. I did not rip on either vendor...or their method. I just explained what matters to me.

You said...not trying to rip...but then you ripped. "Lacking service, lacking logical business practices...and so on." His service is NOT lacking. He is just over worked...another one man gang with a great product. HE also does not want to bog himself down with the cores. Kinda like Don M.

Sometimes quality takes time...effort.

I was not ripping on you...so back off.

Sloverado - wow, a random and extreme example you're trying to apply here...we would ALL assume (although I'm not making any assumptions for cq's sense of logic ) That someone like John or II would NOT source their cp3's they used for cores from flood trucks...get real.

CQ I was only kidding- you have all the right in the world to buy what you want and wait weeks on end for products. I'm not ripping on your choice.. I was however and still am ripping on Floor-it's practice of no cores. Whether he's a busy man or not is silly. If you are busy and have a good base for a business, you hire help. This to me is a matter of a guy who's great at the trucks but lacks business insight...which is FINE...nobody is good at everything..hell if that were the case I would have modded my cp3 myself

Do a search on II injectors. You will find a guy still trying to get good cores back. The ones II sent them are out a a motor that isn't even in the US and they were bad. I have just seen som bad pumps is all. I am not claiming by no means that they would use them.

Kerry wrote this in one of his post

"Remember my CP3.4 and the two turbos are lubed with this mess.....I'm ****** at Industrial Injection. When I was getting the CP 3.4 they convinced me to get their injectors that were tested with the pump and worked great blah blah blah. I had Flux's on order through RIP and these are what I wanted but they kept at me to get theirs....Well by the time they got everything in there was no time to send my injectors back to them to put the nozzles in...so they said we'll send you a set of our injectors ready to go.....and just send your old '03's back to us. My stock injectors were perfect.....never any pressure. What I got from I I were a mix and match set of crappy injectors dating back to 1998 or 1999."

Yep, Personally, I'd only trust my CP3, a new CP3, or a CP3 that John had tested and refurbished...There are lots of crapped out CP3's out there that were fried from lack of cooling diesel from boffed lift pumps, overfueling on the stock lift pump, and dirty fuel. I like dealing with people that are busy. It's like eating a restaurant that has a parking lot full of local cars. ks

Why would I want a cp3 on my truck that I have no idea where it came from? Yeh, you can be assured it is easy to spot if they have been in a flood damaged vehicle, but what abut the person that has a truck with low miles? Do you think he wants to put a pump on with 100,000 miles on his truck? After all you have to take into consideration these pumps are "modded" not "rebuilt". So if someone trades in a tired CP3 and gets a modded one, guess what.... someone gets there modded junk pump. Before thinking about how good of an idea that is, think about whether or not you would want used parts on your truck. You take the chance every time you buy one that was from someone else truck. I would sooner wait it out and know I am not getting someone elses problems.

I think we've made our points and are taking away from the original poster's thread.

Hey, I answered his question a long time ago on the 1st page. In fact, I think I am the only one that actually gave the spec. You all asked other questions that I merely answered also.

Ok, Since I accidentally hijacked this poor man's thread, I should clarify. I was purchasing quite a bit of "stuff" from John. He had a pump that he was going to send me off a new truck like mine that was a core from another truck he just sent a modded CP3 to.... The problem arose when he received the core back, it wasn't from an 06... It was a worthless pump that he wouldn't use to hold the door open with, much less try to rebuild... so yah, someone took him. He's not going to me a piece of crap, therefore it's gonna take some time. Like I mentioned earlier, I was just hopeful it didn't get lost in the mail. John made it right.... I would say his customer service is quite good.... It would would not be a stretch to say EXCELLENT. You can talk to the man and tell he know his diesels, and I'm confident when I get my pump that it will last a long, long time and its not some rebuilt piece of crap..... so for all you people out there that want to buy a crap core to send to get your modded CP3.... please don't...unless you want the same modded crap pump back..... I'm sure no one wants a random flooded, rusty crap pump either.... plus, it's just dishonest. When John sends the pump, I will pull my 06 pump off my 06 Megacab and mail it back. I'm expecting a great pump, just like John is off my truck as a core. John was simply trying to help me out. I would recommend him to ANYONE. Poor customer service? Hardly.

It has never been stated by anyone, anywhere that these pumps were rebuilt! Do a search for modded pumps and you will see where it is repeated over and over and over, these pumps are modded, not rebuilt.

After talking to John yesterday, I can tell you I will put nothing but a Floo It pump on my truck. I am still waiting on that money tree to bloom tough.
