Good Winter 35" Tires, Please Help...
Cooper Discoverer ATRs. Great in the snow for me. Even put a set on dad's plow truck after seeing how well they did on mine. Good price and tread life too. My 315/70/17s were around 180-190 each mounted and balanced locally...
I think most A/T's or M/T's will do just fine in the snow...
I've run 315/70/R17 Cooper ATR's and BFG M/T's 35x12.50R17's in the winter time, and they will go like nobody's business...
If you snow plow deep snow though, you are gonna want something E rated and thinner though...
Siping is something I'm going to try when I buy my new set, (of whatever), this winter.

Hercules Terra Trac are very close to the Dueler Revo in design and come in a 315. Probably the best tire I have ever run on 20yrs of 4x4s with lots of different tires.
siping is well worth it if you can find a shop to do it for you. I got my Toyo M/T's siped on both truck when installed and they are great in the winter. Night and day difference over non-siped M/T's.
Yokohama Geolander AT/S is hands down the best winter tire I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of tires. The Pro Comp Extreme AT's that I have now are a good all round tire but nothing like those Yokohama's I had.
My Toyo MTs are siped. I'd post a pic,but the sipes are so fine, you can't even see them in a picture.
Siping makes a DRASTIC difference in wet, snow, ice traction.
Look at a real set of "snow tires". The key to their traction is small tread blocks with lots of siping.
Despite what most guys think, mud tires aren't the best for traction in snow.
Snow sticks to snow and thats where you get some of your traction. Mud tires clean the snow out too well and you sacrifice traction.
Tire Advice:
hello,
we have a 2004 3500 SRW quad cab 4X4 long bed we are running 315/70R17Goodyear Extreme with beadlocks and have run the the BF Goodrich AT KO but it dose'nt compair in wet conditions or ice. the AT Eterme's high speed stabality is also far better.
