well if Pauly's right then my comments are just future product ideas

Is the screen going to be upgraded as well, to include more resolution? I really like how big it is physically, but with the current resolution it appears that you have to make the numbers on the screen larger so they are clear. Maybe that's just my perception though since I haven't seen the product in person.

I really like the new exterior treatment though, very modern with an industrial flair, cool stuff.

Also, I like Sumo's comment above. The comment is espicially relevent if the intended mounting position is on the A-pillar, but a universal mount option (flip 180 degrees) would be great since it would accomodate all mounting positions, in the column, overhead, and A-pillar. It might be easier though to offer two options, one for the current

Glad to see you're continually refining the products ...great stuff!!

This was my thoughts as well... it seems to use your left hand, your arm blocks the screen - people chime in a tell me if I am wrong, as I do not have one yet. But the new design does look good, especially if I get the Black/Charcoal seat covers....

another future product idea

the current half wrap A pillar holder looks pretty good and the fit is good as well, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see the full A-pillar replacement with the grab handle retained, of course. If would be super-pimp if it could retain the use of the factory fastener covers as well, then it would look like a completely stock installation.

Color?

Quad,
Nice way to grab some Voice of the Customer Data. More companies should do this. People get what they want and the engineers know what to design to. Thanks.

I would love to see it full color and a touch screen would be nice. I would also like an A-pillar pod that keeps the factory handle.

Thanks again,
John

The only way to do that would be to replace the whole pillar. If we do that is is $$$$$$$$$$ because have to make a whole new injection mold, not just a vacuum formed mold.

If you look at the pillar there is no way to just overwrap the stock one entirely which is why we stopped where we did and used the factory fastening hole.

You would not love to see what it costs!

That is the whole problem with touch screens, high resolution, color etc. People will only pay so much for a gauge and I don't blame them. As it is we can offer something that is cost effective and functional. It may not be perfect for everyone but, we tried to hit the fat part of the market. You have to cut some features so the cost is worth it.

Oh, and we have a pillar that keeps the factory handle already! Just not a full one!

I have to agree with Quad. One of the reasons I bought his stuff in the first place was the price. I bought the Xzillaraider and Commander together for less than some programmers alone. Color screens and touch screens would have priced me out of the market.

Oh ya, I'm aware that the full A-pillar replacement would be some decent coin for the investment cost up front. Injection molds aren't cheap, that's for sure. I was thinking that a roto-mold design may work though. It would be a relatively simple mold and maybe a good bit cheaper since you wouldn't have to go with a higher end material of an injection mold. It looks like the factory used a 2 pc design, the female section forming the main area of the mold and the male section coming it just to fill out the handle area. Granted your production rate would be lower so I don't know if you would want to mess with it. Anyway, just thinkin' aloud.

I really like the new look. I have been thinking about dropping the Edge, and going with the quad. The look of the old commander was a turn off. I am really like the new design and color. I would also like to see buttons on the left for us a pillar boys.
