Gauges on 06, eengine temp port?

I'm installing some gauges on one of my brothers work trucks and there's an engine temp gauge, where or wich port can I use on the engine? Also he has a mech boost gauge, do I cut the wastegate pressure line and T off of that? And in what direction do I run the plastic tubing to keep from excessive heat?
Thanks alot guys

I've only ever installed electric gauges, so I'm not so savvy with these mech ones.

Use a boost bolt for the boost. Do you mean exhaust gas temp? Or coolant temp?

Well coolant temp is what I meant sorry.
The EGT is easy. But this one comes also with engine coolant temp.

there are ports on the right side of the head (passenger side). remove a plug, install brass fitting and then the temp sender

shop: "so its a diesel with a 5.9, huh"?
me: "Yes sir 2006 dodge"
shop: "looks like its in the front SIDE of the engine theres a bolt there, thats where it goes."
