Functional Hood?

Which company sells a functional hood for the 06 cummins? I saw one in a magazine and dont remember which one. I like the way they look on the hemis.

Thank you. I like the dual one that fits up to the 02 model. Wish they had that for the 06.

i found the suncoast viper hood on sale for about $800- i forgot the site but found it by doing a search for suncoast hoods. imo if you're going to swap out your hood you might as well go to a functional hood and not just one that looks like it.

The SRT 10 hood doesn't function well because the opening is too far back on the hood. The air stream rises above the opening as you increase in speed. Others have tested its effectiveness by tapping ribbins on the front of the hood. Just passing on what I've been told.

no problems- the suncoast IS a functional ram air hood with no mods needed. the srt hood just opens into the engine compartment while the suncoast directs the air to your intake.

I know the SRT 10 hood stock empties into the engine compartment. I'm saying air isn't going in the opening at speeds greater than like twenty five MPH because the opening is half way up the hood. Air stream flows over it, not into it. On another note, these engines have forced induction. You're not going to ram air into your air box faster than the turbo can pull it in. Not a worth while mod in my opinion. If you want it to look cool, that's fine and dandy. But if you want it to help your performance, it's not going to happen.
