Frontier Gear good or bad?
One thing you should know about Frontier bumpers is that they are hand made, so they are not always perfect. We like them and sell a lot of them because they are lighter than Ranch Hand and easier to install most of the time.
How well do the Frontier bumpers hold up in a collision with, lets say a good sized Mule deer? I notice that they don't have steel tubing like most all others and that is a bit of a concern to me due to the places that I drive.
I had a Frontier full replacement originally on my truck and really liked the way it looked. After hitting a deer at 65 it didn't look so pretty. The center grill area bent inward towards the hood and the whole grill guard rotated back because of the way it uses the factory bumper mounts to secure it.
Bringing up an old thread here but i just wanted to know a few more things. I'm trying to decide on whether to go with the frontier full replacement or the summit series RH. Now does the summit series not have all the heavy duty piping behind it and would it be susceptible to the frontier that the one stated in the above post?!?! Also how much we talking for a frontier? I've seen the summit series advertised for 810 somewhere, and thats without haggling yet, haha..
I dont always get the death wobble, But when I do, I just buy a new truck.
