First tow with a Quad module

I just returned from Stone Moutain ,Georgia. I have the standard box and had the setting at the sixty hp. It was very nice. Nothing i've done to my truck has changed the fuel mileage.
By the way I was recently chosen by Fram to be one of the four hundred diesel truck owners to receive their new oilless air intake kits (For Free). They want some honest feeback on how their system works. I should be recieving it in the next four to six weeks. I never win anything. There were probably only two hundred people in the lottery.

So how did you like the box powerwise? Did it pull harder?

I have an 11K fifth wheeler. I also added a Demco Glide ride hitch pin which eliminated all "chucking". Combine with the box I actually forgot at times that I was towing a trailer. The truck pulled much harder. Stone mountain area is all about hills. The truck did very well.
Fram has a new diesel filter. One of the members posted a link. It was actually a contest for the first four hundred to be given out in exchange for feedback. It is simular to the AEM dryflow designed for a diesel motor. It is a dry reuseable filter which uses no oil. I'll find out how it works when I receive it. I'll let everyone know how well it works or doesn't work. I'll look for the link.

NB64- I won a Fram cold air intake also. Remember, you cant install it until you know for sure that you wont be in the commercial. The guy that interviewed me over the phone said that I am a prime candidate for the commercial because I am a mechanic and do all my own work on my vehicles. Let me know if they are going to use you and your truck for the commercial. It would be cool to have a couple people from DTR on TV The intake is will be available sometime in May or June, and it is only for trucks and SUV's. It will be offered for both Gas and Diesel vehicles. Here is the webpage http://framboost.com/

If the air filters are anything like their oil filters I'm sure they will flow very well.

That filter looks just like my AEM Dryflow filter.

DYNO Curve

I am interested in getting either the AEM or the Fram intake and am looking for more information on them both. I tried to get the dyno pdf to work on the fram site and could not. Did anyone else get it to work and if so what was the outcome?

thanks
John

My egts were lower than my last trip without a module. On flats I was running almost normal egts 600 egts and around 7 psi boost. On hills it would normally rise to only 1100egts and 20psi. A couple of times I was surprise to see the lower egts but the boost at one point was at 30psi while climbing. The egts seemed to level of very quickly. On most hills and maintaining speed it rarely went higher than 1200. I only hit 1350 when I purposely push it hard climbing a hill. I was able to hit 1350 prior to the chip. But the extra power allowed me to easily pass slower vehicles and keep most of the big rigs behind me.On the flat runs it almost felt like I was driving empty, especially since I have almost totally eliminated the chucking of the 5th wheel. Fuel mileage (hand) was around 12mph. The return trip with a tail wind I got 450 miles almost 13mpg(Tank with vent kit)before having to refill. I'm extremely pleased with its performance.
I don;'t think I'm in the running for the commercial since I was away when they called for my phone interview. I still tried to call and leave the message.
