crabman do you have any pics of the pyro probe install? I'm going to put in a X-Monitor, pre turbo, and it seems there is not much room for a drill to get on the manifold to drill for the probe fitting. Thanks

I'm pre-turbo and I just let my EGTs get to 280 before shutdown if I've been working the engine hard. Works for me.

I'm now running Pre & Post Turbo, as far as EGT temps if you let the Pre-Turbo cool down to 300-350 it will be at the just about the same temp as the Post Turbo. I use my Post Turbo X-monitor EGT temp as my cool down temp. I don't shutdown until it reaches 300. The reason for waiting for the Pre-Turbo was the SIx Gun w/Speedloader install.

Thumbs up probe install

Absolutely EXCELLENT RankRam

That is exactly what I was looking for. Did you have any problem getting a drill into that location and is the reading good?
Thanks for the pic.

The drill will fit....I used a short bit and a 14.4 volt Makita with no problems!

pyro

I tried to get a drill in that space and could. So everything looks good. I'll be ordering the X-Monitor I think. Looked at the Di-pricol gauges and they look pretty good too.
But I think the X-Monitor will give a faster response.
Thanks.

I've now got pics posted of both Pyros installed. I had a shop blow a hole in the exhaust and install the bung for the X-Monitor probe. The Banks probe was installed by a BANKS Dealer to ensure to maintain warranty

Nice pics SuperGewl. Good night shots of the unit in action. Gives one a real perspective of what the X-Monitor will look like at night. I understand you can pick from 4 brightness settings also. You and RankRam really helped me see exactly what I'll be doing to get the pyro installed. Who knows how many others you have helped with these pictures. Keep up the good work.
