first post and first dodge

Just switched from ford to dodge. Bought an 07 3500.I like the cummins so far it feels like it is getting stronger the more miles I put on it. I pull 8 to 12#s on a daily basis. The edge is not yet avalible for it but should be out any day now. How would you rate the edge and does the turbo timer work well? I am concerned about the tranny in the dodge, is there anything I can do to prolong its life? Thanks..

Welcome

I am a fairly recent member myself. I have been wondering what mods to perform for quite a while. I stumbled upon this forum and had really enjoyed reading the post of what works and what doesn't. Some of the members are a storehouse of knowledge and don't hesitate in steering a "newby" in the right direction. Welcome to the forum and enjoy.

Welcome to DTR.
the plug in modules(edge, quadzilla, bd power, bullydog) are simple plug in play, give you on the fly adjustability, provide mpg increases(if you keep your foot out of it!), driveability improvements, and obviously more power.
before upgrading or increasing the fueling(power) all of us will advise about installing gauges first, most importantly a pyrometer.
I had an edge ez, when they were not in cab adjustable. I liked it. But got a quadzilla instead. Still have it and like it. both are good modules.
i have no experience with the turbo timer, i just wait until she's ready to shut down.

Are any of the programmers out there untraceable so when you bring it into the dealer it doesn't leave a footprint in the CPU?

here we go again......just kidding, this has been an ongoing arguement for some time.

the smarty is not supposed to be traceable because it remembers key cycles during the program swap process, but i havent taken it into the dealer, i'm afraid they would slightly freak out. dont know about the other programmers, i have only the smarty
