Thumbs up Finally got a 5" system!

Finally I had enough change to get a 5" turbo back from Full Spectrum. I bought the 4" '05 elbow almost a year ago and never could get the extra cash to drop on the truck. A pretty good price I think. $329 including a 6" tip and shipping.
I just ordered it this morning so early next week Ill be happily installing some new parts. I cant wait to hear it!

Looks like a very simply install, but the elbow Im not sure about. Any input on the easiest way to attack it?

The elbow shouldn't be a problem. Theres a band holding it on, undo the bandclamp and it'll come off. I don't remember if i had an easier time doing it from above or below, but you'll know when you see it.

Naw just keep it out of the wind, keep it on something sturdy, and keep it at least 10 ft away. It won't be as heavenly but we will all get the point. It will sound great.

putting the elbow on was the biggest PITA for me. I had to cut a notch out of the bracket holding the trans fill tube and had to heat up some of the elbow with a rosebud so it doesnt constantly rub on the frame. That was a diamond eye system though yours might be different. Did you get it with or without muffler ?

Let us know if your spare fit. Do you have a 295 spare?

Mine is with a muffler. Lets hope it fits perfect as advertised.

MadHat, My spare is a stock 265. I have thought about taking it out anyways since Im rarely far from home or a tire shop in town. It would be a nice 100# weight savings.

I also have a 265 spare, it barely fits i dont think a 285 would fit. I went with the full 5 inch straight pipe also. If you want your truck to sound like a semi then get a 5 inch straight pipe system. I have thought about putting a muffler on to calm down the noise a bit though. you should make a video when you get it on.

i've got a 315 spare. It doesnt fit under the truck anymore which is a pain but it sits nicely in the bed.
