Fass 101

Need some education on the FASS, I have the 95-95, and wanted to know a few things:

What is the recommended interval for changing the fuel filter?

What is the recommended interval for changing out the water separator?

How often do you guys open the drain on the water separator, and do you leave it open it until you see mostly diesel?

What is the procedure for changing the filters? (Do you leave the new filter slightly cracked and bump the ignition and wait for fuel / air purge like stock filter housing?)

Thanks for any info

I change out my filter once a year but do't drive that many miles (7k ) and never noticed a difference. Separator I never changed? Only drain it a couple of times a year and never yet seen any water. Spin on a new filter (tight) or close the drain on the WS and cycle the key a couple of times, fire it up.

That is not necessary. The water being heavier than diesel, settles to the bottom where the drain is at. It is only necessary to drain until there is no water at all.

I check the water whenever I remember to and, like Ratsun, I have yet to see any water. Just drain into a clean mason jar until you are satisfied there is no water, which shouldn't be much, close the drain and dump the clean diesel back into the tank. If you do see water, then do not put back into the tank, but dispose of properly.
