Exhaust Questions

I'm looking at getting an exhaust. I've read about drone issues with MBRP's exhausts especially when they get sooty.

Has anyone had experience with Silverline? I was looking at the 5" 409 stainless. I have an early 2004 so the current set up isn't 4". I would like a nice deep tone but no drone. I tow an 8k camper around monthly with all the family and it would be nice if it didn't droned out conversation.

I have two friends running a Silverline exhaust. One is on a 2nd gen and the other is on a 3rd gen. Neither of them are really loud but they have a nace bark to them. Don't know how much drone they make though. I don't now that you can even put an after market exhaust on a truck and not get any drone.

I'm running a 5" from full spectrum performance off e bay. I lost my kitty when installing and I love the sound it gives me. I've also had other compliment on how my truck sounds. I tow my trailer/car and can have a norm. conversation.

I did a 5" Flo-pro, its loud when you want it to be, and when your driving it nicely, there is no drone at all. I can easily talk on the speakerphone in my truck and have no complaints about noise.

I have a MBRP 304 (?) SS 4" and 5" tip I do not have a drone issue at all, as a matter of fact it got quiter in the cab after the change over from stock. However I do not tow so I can not say how it sounds when towing.

I've got MBRP stacks with a Flo-Pro muffler and I really love the sound it puts out, very distinct compared to the others, ppl know this truck isn't stock!!!

My 51" nelsen with the chambers stuffed with fiberglass was every bit as quiet as stock inside and had deep tone outside with no drone whatsoever til I changed turbos. Then I had to fight noise and drone. I used a small glasspack for a resonator. Craig
