I tow quite a lot and the flexibility of the edge is very important to me, yet I will be running twins soon and maybe then I'll change to the Smarty, but until then the Edge will supply my power, I've had zero problems with the Edge, been on the truck for 2 years now.

dodgeman this all depends on what you want. ive read all the threads on here and for the most part everyong is correct all out power or just want a programmer with alot of free tunes to fit your need then a smarty is what you want if you want safty features and on the fly adjustability the juice is what you want but the juice dos run hotter then the smarty but the hot setting still dos run good if your looking 4 power. let us know what your need out of the programmer you want and we can better tell you what programmer is going to be better 4 you. but ive owned the juice and 3 tell the truth i wish i never sold it but i also just sold all my other programmer to buy a smarty beacuse the smarty is top of the line. if i were you i would buy both of them :P lol o ya smarty has a 100% satisfaction garantee with it so you might want to try is first before spending money on the juice beacuse if you dont like the smarty you can return it.

I don't think it matters what you are tring to do. The smarty IMO out weighs all other programmers out there for now. No comparison.

Before I bought an Edge Juice with attitude I would buy a Quad X2 standard and put the commander on it or just use mechanical gauges. Edge runs to hot for towing in my book and the fofo gauges it has are not that good from what everyone has been posting about them lately. If you have to adjust on the fly, Quad is the way to go, If not, Smarty. You can always just run the stack tune in the Quad later if you get a Smarty. That's what I did.

Have had both. With an 03 I would go with the Smarty, you do not get the higher HP programs with the edge for the 03's. I still use an Outlook moniter to have some " turn down " for icy winter roads. This is my favorite combo I have used. My 2 cents on it.

You guys that say Smarty "period" kill me. Everyone does not use their truck the same and everyone does not have the same goals. There are circumstances where the Juice is a better option - that's why I own both.

I put down over 500hp with the Hot Juice before my injectors with just a little pressure. It is a good powerful controller. I'd race half of the guys on here that say the Juice is no good with just my Juice. Most of them have never tried one and don't realize how well it works.

As for the gauges, the current version works fine. The only problem ever was the older versions read too cool on the egts.

I drove a 2005 4x4 Quadcab that had an automatic, 3.73 gears, 315/70/17s on it and it had an Edge Juice with Attitude. Other than this there was no other mods. That truck did not like one lane at a time. Lots of power! I also drove another DTR members 2006 Quad 4x4 with trans upgrades, fuel pump, exhaust and a smarty. Was not as impressed with his truck. Had strong midrange where the Edge was "right now" quick. I like the Edge better but I would like my own gauges and the availability of the power levels on the fly...is this something that is possible?
