Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. I call that process business. Buy low, sell high. That's why I bought mine quick last night before someone came along and decided to do that! If I had the money laying around, I'd do it myself.

Those nozzles do not have a coated needle. We went down this road back in 2006. The scuffing and wear could start early in their lifespan, which could be short lived.

I know it will seem biased. The CR injectors are expensive. As well as the engine they are being installed in. Saving money on a product in this case could cost big dollars later on.

I just fixed up/replaced a set last month. They lasted two months for this guy. No coating on the needle makes these things scuff like crazy. Once they begin sticking, the needle can hang open and dump fuel.

ULSD makes it even harder for them to last even a medium length life.

I understand budgets and perceived value are different for everyone. Please dont shoot me................

What coating do you apply when "fixing" them up? Would nozzles that have been extrude honed & the factory finish removed need this coating also?

I don't have the money to buy a good set of nozzles but don't want to pay for something that might not last. I'll just wait and save I guess

There are many of these out on the road. They were made FOR Edge by 1 of the popular Diesel Injector Companies.
