Edge Insight, draining batteries
Edge Insight, draining batteries
Anyone else notice this? My batteries are 3.5 years old, so they are getting weak, but if the truck sits a week with the edge plugged in, it might not start. I lose .1 to .2 volts a day on the batteries with the edge plugged in, and nothing with it unplugged. I never noticed this when I drove the truck everyday, but leave it sitting for a few days, and she cranks slow.
I need to get a different tester, so I can measure dc amps, so I can see how much it's really pulling. But maybe I just need to suck it up, and get new batteries.

Im running the insight on my duramax an ive never had that problem. It also sits for several days at a time because i drive my work truck. I would say get new batteries. I see in your sig that you have a amp. That could be draining your batteries too.
I unplugged the insight, and left the truck sitting for 4 days, the battery volts were still 12.6, and the starter motor spun the motor nicely.
I'll try upgrading my insight, maybe there is a new flash for it. If not, I'll talk to edge about warranty.
