They're probably running those mine trucks through water deep enough to cover the hub assembly every single day. It's just not practical to pull em apart clean em and pack new grease in each time - which is what I'd do asap if I ever went through water that deep...

I am a mechanic at a underground coal mine. I am not sure what dynatrac said about the failures. I just know the mine spent around $4000 in replacement parts for them and decided to take them off because the oem were lasting the same amount of time and a little cheaper. We have had water holes the would come up to the bumper and you can not keep that coal and rock dust out of anything. If they would add a grease zerk to the hub then we might be able to make them last a little longer. I think one of the problems we have is the constant jolting that the trucks take, we smack our heads on the roof at least once a day. You just cant see all the bumps.

Don't take what I am saying wrong. I still think they are a great idea and I am just reporting what my experience with them was. I hope this is making since I just got home from a 12 hour night shift with about 5hrs sleep.

If anyone comes around here I can get you a tour(just need a little advance notice) you would be amazed what these trucks go through and how well they are holding up. Another mine by us bought a couple of D-maxs and sent them to there gob pile(scrap pile) with under 10k miles. The d-max's frames just don't hold up.

I was really hoping to get better mileage but I haven't seen any change.

I got the ems kit and no problems in 30,000km here. I gained about 2.5-3mpg on the highway and maybe about 1 city. But I do notice alot of other things with this kit. I find my truck steers way nice and with less efor. I run 40" Iroks and i can tell you thins much, it was a challenge with 37's with the stock hubs, but now this kit and tires and hub kit, it took alot of effort away.
