So what's happening? Still showing the 4.4's are you on the fence???
Any changes coming for the summer fall?

The DDp 120's can make big power (no argument there), but there is no hope of towing with them....Like I said ask Lenny himself.

Cleaning up a few drivetrain glitches before the 4.4's go back in.

Traction bars, some airflow work, and basically trying to get the 4.4's to work in a daily driver....If not I'll switch back and forth.

How's the motor going?

I only see a haze most of the time. I do a lot of city driving in LA. I get on the highway maybe once a week. When I jump on it at the on ramp, it turns black and doesn't clear until I shift. Then it's clean again. I've towed with these injectors without EGT problems.

I think i know the answer to this but just MAYBE i'm wrong. What do u think the DDP 50hp injectors would do to my warranty? Would they even know they were in there if they were'nt "looking" for them? I'd really like a set of these..

Try towing something heavy with the 120's and let me know how it goes.....I asked Lenny (DDP's owner) if the BD towing twins could keep egt's in check with the DDp 120's...His answer was "I would stay with the 90's".

Fwiw Lenny and the crew at DDP are great to do business with and are very helpful....Like I said talk to Lenny himself...You'll find him very honest and to the point.

I'm not saying Ddp makes a bad injector just that F-1's run cooler and cleaner.

With Flux 2.5's and 750hp I have no (zero) hazing.

I don't think your dealer would go looking for them if you don't create a problem.
A mechanic might notice the extra power and smoke on a test ride.

My dealer is pretty good about the warranty thing. Obviously they would exclude much of the drivetrain, but that is to be expected. It goes in next week to have a squeak fixed.

I put my ddp stage 2's (90hp) on this weekend. I got home friday @ 1100 at night and finished at 900 Saturday morning. No special tools required except the one that comes with them to hold your injectors in a vice to change nozzles. 10 hr job, its my first time ever tearing into the head of any diesel, and my first major project on any engine internal in 2 or 3 years, i was by myself with basic tools, and i had no trouble. as long as your relatively mechanically inclined, im sure you can figure most of it out and wing the rest, just like i did. they were worth it too. they are awesome! I cant wait to get the delivery mods to support. they run great, will recommend them to anyone.

its conversations like these that are really making me want to go ahead and get some injectors.

If I were to go with the DDP's 90's and an Air Dog 150 with a smarty Jr as my chip would it be necessary for me to upgrade my CP3 and my Turbo? I really dont want to upgrade the turbo right now, but only if it was necessary.

I am running a stock HX with a stock delivery system. I have a FASS 150 but i havent put it on yet. My truck runs great, plenty of power, and the ICP (rail pressure) gauge on my PMT stays up around 20000psi most of the time. but in 4th 5th or 6th at WOT once it gets up to about 2700RPM or higher sometimes the rail press drops and it starts to stutter. which this is no problem usually, because once your that fast its nothing to back off the throttle a little, but when I had a hole shot on that carrera turbo on the interstate and it started to sputter, he pulled on past me. but for a safe reliable setup, a FASS 150/95 and a stage 2 cp3 will work great with 90hp injectors, I am going with stg3 cp3 and dual feed line kit in prep for future mods.

Thanks a bunch for the info. I will defitnetly consider that route as far as the setup goes. Is there a certain stage 2 CP3 kit that you recommend? Its sounds as if you you got some big plans in your future for the truck...

from the short time ive been a part of DTR, they have been dead on on everything so far, and the trends will show up if the threads stay on long enough, and everybody is honest on here for things that i can verify. so based on some research that i have done. Im gunna go to floor-it for a rebuilt stage3. but if you choose not to, ive done research, darkside has them, Industrial, and whoever makes the hot rod VP-44 makes them.
