Noticed rear valve stem/spring was lower than all the rest. Heard too many bad stories about 03-04 trucks with crappy valve seats, so I took the head off and yes, it was dropped and hanging in there crooked. A piece welded to the piston. I cleaned piston and looks good. Cylinder wall is perfect.

My guy is going to rework the head and install larger valve seats. Installing hamilton springs too. Hopefully it does the trick.

 

Now would be a good time to put in a after market Cam it would help keep the valves a little cooler
