Dons EDM's ?
Dons EDM's ?
mostly a question for Don but thought it would make a good thread,
Are the EDM's gonna be available soon for the CR motor?
I understand there is a bit of a limited supply of stock injectors and sounds like they arent cheap :'(
obviously this is going to effect the consumer in terms of price , but seeing the effects of these injectors on the older motors, a small increase in price may not be a detrimental thing :

Re:Dons EDM's ?
I heard demand has been so high for 12 & 24 valves that trying to keep up with that is taking time away from working on the HPCR injectors. That's the rumor anyway, only Don can give us an accurate update

Well, I have not pulled all the hair outta my head yet...but its safe to say I dont get many compliments on the amount of hair I have left after this past year of injector work. :
At this time the best I can offer fellas is an Extrude Honed injector for the 03 Common Rail trucks. I did design and build here a really nice Extrude Hone machine for doing other styles of injectors. It can be adapted for the Common Rail stuff with a few hours of mill work and lathe time.
While my honing operation differs slightly from the original style in type of media, pressure used, etc it is showing a final honed product that exceeds the conventional methods.
Unfortunantly, it is time consuming and therefor expensive.
I cant compete with other Extrude Honed injectors in price
, but the quality will!!
EDM's are still a few months out minimum at this time...Unless a miracle happens around here. :-*
