Hi Guys,
I just installed the 34" Donaldson muffler and was wondering what everyone had as far as reduction in EGTs. I ordered the Di-Pricol pyrometer and the muffler at the same time with the idea of installing the pyro first. But...since Geno's has the gauge on back-order and the Donaldson was here first....I just HAD to put it on!!! Sounds GREAT! I was just interested what everyone else had as far as EGTs. Thanks..... What kind of sound are you getting? Does it sound like a semi or just nice and deep like a V-8?

 

I'm running the same muffler. With just the muffler, maybe around 30*. You won't see the full potential of an exhaust upgrade if the truck can't breath better on the intake side as well. With both, you can expect well over 100* reduction, sometimes over 150* depending on the setup. Happy bombing!

Hard to find trucks around here going slow enough to get a look at! This is the muffler that I'm looking at using with my stacks...

GREAT looking truck you have. Awsome pics in your gallery too. Guess time to work on the intake side next.... I did make an intake tube that is kinda like yours AK, but used a 6" PVC pipe and turned the outside diameter to match the stock elbows.

 

100* on mine.
