Mine had that raspy, "metallic" sound to it at first....but after about 5k, the tone got much deeper and now its even deeper so I love it now. I really think I can almost hear the turbo whistle through the exhaust too...but that might be wishful thinking

 

Not wishful thinking at all. I can hear it clearly at idle in gear. Can't wait to have a turbo with a 13 or 14cm housing. Gonna sound SWEET!!! It did in my last truck.
